Hi @thisismygitrepo it's best to keep the library updated since there is constantly exchanges being updated, new features being added and bugs being fixed. But I don't think you're required to update your version for the specific reason that you specified.
The CCXT market symbols are handled through the fetchMarkets method in each individual exchange class. Most of the methods in CCXT include a call to loadMarkets which calls fetchMarkets to update and set all of the market information on the exchange.
