Thanks for the report @matsuro-hadouken, but I think this is unfortunately just a symptom of how we ensure nodes only remain connected to peers on the same network.
The mitigation put in place is only meant as a stopgap, so is non-optimal. But the flow for now is that when two peers connect, the first message they exchange must be a bootstrap one specifying their network's ID (i.e. the genesis config hash). If they don't match, the peers disconnect.
However, for a short while, they are connected and will be reported as such via the /status
endpoint. While they are connected, they won't be able to exchange messages other than the bootstrap one, so this should have no real ill effect overall.
