Thanks for reporting. Not able to reproduce this on a fresh Kali install.

Looks like the python modules may be unable to locate your libforensic1394 libs.

Can you try changing line 39 in inception/interfaces/firewire.py to:

except (OSError, AttributeError):

and try to re-install & run the tool?

Thank you, you found out what was not working.
After changing line 39 to "except (OSError, AttributeError):", the tool output was:
[-] Error: Could not load libforensic1394, please make sure libforensic1394 is in your PATH

So I just reinstalled forensic1394 (just in case), and ran "ldconfig" to reload the libraries.

Strange that Kali does not automatically load new libraries...
