Git is pretty smart about merging things, so you should be okay to just add new .snippet files or add snippets to the bottom of files. That is the route I have taken.

I see, that would work for new snippets, but what if you want to redefine an existing one? Do you add it to the bottom of the file and it works? Or do you simply edit the original one?

I was thinking maybe it could check in another snippets directory, ie ~/.vim_local/snippets and merge those with original ones when loading mvim. I am not really sure if it's possible, though...

Actually, since the git repository only contains the files necessary to download the plugins, so I think you are right about changes being overwritten. Hrrm . . . I'll investivate loading snippets from a different directory, because this is something I use too.

Please use the custom folder to add your own plugins/files into Janus, this only works in the experimental branch, closing this for now.
