While I've tried a few methods of shutting the nametag off entirely before, this mod seems like the best of both worlds; having the nametag where appropriate, while keeping it from being unfair.
Unfortunately, the config doesn't seem to generate in 1.7.10, leaving the line-of-sight and distance completely unconfigurable.

In version "ComeCloser 1.12-0.7.0b4-UNSTABLE build 4 for 1.12" no config files are generated, making the mod inert.

Can you update this? Thankss

The title says it all. The mod description makes it sound as though a config file should be created, but one isn't present after starting the game with this mod installed.

There's a glitch(?) where, for some reason, the words "ComeCloser>>TagRange: 0.0 <-> 0.0" show up every time players log in. It would be great if this could be disabled to reduce login message clutter that adds up when dozens of mods are installed.

It seems as though the settings are being more-or-less ignored when played in a LAN server.
For example, even when leaving everything default (Line of Sight true, Normal Range 64, etc.), the in-game chat will report 'ComeCloser>>TagRange: 0.0 <-> 0.0'.
No players have nametags, which means I'm back to square one with all-or-nothing.
