I think it has something to do with this warning: This is likely occurring because the flow layout subclass KSGallerySlidingLayout is modifying attributes returned by UICollectionViewFlowLayout without copying them

Hi,
I believe it comes from your Navigation Bar. Did you put an offset somewhere? I'm trying basically to do the same thing here with a navigation controller. Does your navigationBar overlap on your first featured cell? I still have a hard time figuring out where they set the y origin so I can offset it by my navigationBar height.

No the navigation bar doesn't overlap with the collection view. The gap is actually not between the first cell and second cell. It literally is a blank area in the first cell, the collection view's bounds never changed. When I reload the collection view, the first cell's background image always moves up, which gives a blank area within the first cell itself.

It involves two view controllers and lots of other stuff too, I would have to show you almost half of my whole project. But here's my cell class maybe there's something wrong here?
