Manual install fails about jupyter-c-kernel

The package is not in Pypi, so make sure you running pip install in the directory where you cloned the project. It should like like this:

$ ls .
jupyter-c-kernel/       <---- the project is present in the current folder
$ pip install jupyter-c-kernel/

tell me if it works.

I should make the package available on a public Pypi repo to avoid this too

Kernel dies under jupyterhub but different issue

Glad it works now, I will make it more obvious in the documentation.

Also, could you open another issue for the problem you encountered with jupyterhub?
