Morning everyone,
I'm going to temporarily close this post as I believe I may have found the answer, but will not be confident until I can get the Android version working and live.
I believe my issues were caused by incomplete configuration details here: https://dashboard.branch.io/configuration/general
I had assumed the code was responsible but believe it may have been an issue on the account settings. I will know more clearly once I get the Android version working (and publish) as currently I'm unable to even run the Android side. I will be creating a separate issue about this.
