Pressing Ready after competitor passed the start gate and an elimination is active, ends the current run. In this scenario, the finish gate was not passed. So any timer, running or stopped, has no meaning at this point in time. The time value will not be used or stored anywhere. Therefore I believe it's best to turn off (hide) the timer after Ready is pressed.
