Do you actually need the functionality provided by -lrt? I believe the only thing which is needed is "clock_gettime". If you remove -lrt from the makefile, does it compile?

Yes, although the first time I attempted a test run it segfaulted so I assumed that something may have been missing. Subsequent tests appear to at least do some socket setup and send some data back and forth. Given that I've not yet reviewed what it's trying to do, I'm not sure if the tests are successful, I seem to get some timeouts with two instances on the same machine on ports 9090 and 9095. I'll file a report/send a question separately if I can't figure out what's going on there.

I believe the linking issue was fixed by http://github.com/bittorrent/libutp/commit/7732c1556e5adffd984b6a458af3f7cc457c82e7

Can you confirm?

Yep, they are fixed. Interesting way to check for that :-)

(I could make a nice long rant about trying to have Makefiles that work on various platforms without the user having to use different targets)
