Hi @flesik,

You can kill the process as opposed to the command window. The simple way to do that is just to go to the Task Manager process tab. I'm not sure about sending kill signals on Windows machines.

Hi,

I know how to terminate the process but this behaviour is not consistent and it seems like a bug because:

  1. When process succesfully complete its execution, it will finish and close it self automatically
  2. If there is a exception as described above, it will hang ...

Do you share my perspective?

Thanks
Jozef

Yes, I have also observed this behavior. However, it seems to only be on Windows (when a qFatal is thrown), which makes me think its on the Qt side of things. The documentation here http://qt-project.org/doc/qt-5.0/qtcore/qtglobal.html#qFatal suggests it's sending something to a debugger on Windows, and that it might be waiting to be connected to a Debugger.

I agree with everything that's been said here, going to keep this issue open as a bug until we either a) have a fix or b) determine there is nothing we can do about it.
