I believe the idea is that the order of workshops is based on file title, and that the order should somehow be sensible. So I think the intention is to use these for filenames -- 210_RNASeq.Rmd, 220_ChIPSeq.Rmd... 270_EnrichmentAnalysis.Rmd -- somewhow choosing numbers reflecting relative status in a typical work flow, spaced so that additional similar workshops can find adjacent numbers. Maybe that's not necessary? I'm not a bookdown expert.

Yes, there are a couple of ways to go about this. One is to imply the order via the Rmd
file names (as above) and the other is to explicitly state the order via the _bookdown.yml
file.
The organization can be done after or during workshop submission.
The _bookdown.yml
file should look something like:
rmd_files: [
"index.rmd",
"intro.Rmd",
# Section 1
"RNASeq.Rmd",
"ChIPSeq.Rmd"
]
