You can copy column setup details from the Column Setup dialog and apply them to other views - see the import/export buttons in the right panel - obviously still a manual process.

3501_B28 has a button in the "column setup dialog" labelled "default" that sets the default column config for NEW views created (new=totally new, not re-opening one that you've created before).

There is also a "reset all table config" - Options->Interface: Reset all table column configurations

That resets every table config back to start of day and removes all defaults.

Inheritting config from tag parents is too much work so I won't be looking into that.

Oh, next beta (B29 when it is built) has the "reset" button (or reset columns menu item) reset things to the default settings if you've set them. Plus there's a bug fix in there with the existing changes.
