hm, could be good. I'd prefer the shorter option name prefixFields, and have it accept either a string or a boolean. Strings would be used as the prefix, whereas a boolean true would cause the tableName + '_' to be used as the prefix.

A pull-request would be most welcome, otherwise I'll get to it when I have some time, pretty busy today.

Would this, if implemented, also works with table aliases as well? Last time I had to do a large join and table aliases and column lists didn't go so well together.

I don't see why not... what was unpleasant about table aliases and column lists?

Please take a look at the tests added in the last commit and let me know if that API seems sensible. If so I'll try to get around to updating the docs and pushing a new version soon.
