I think the canvas on the right is the next canvas in the Version Control

Also, when brush size changed, the center canvas seems to have to correct brush size, but the "separate" canvas on the right doesn't seem to register the size change

I have identified the issue: my attempt to get the lip of the next version to appear in version control view caused it to also appear in the editing view.

After going into the history menu and selecting a canvas, some parts of the history view does not disappear

Yeah I know. It has to do with the sliding view having to resize whenever we switch from toolbar to version control/ having had its dimensions changed when you changed from the buttons to the segmented view (I think I might have missed some of the magic numbers which were set with respect to the large buttons). I'll try to work on it over carnival weekend. It may be easier (and almost certainly better design) to change so that the slide view controller is only displayed after the version control icon is pressed, but that will require some work.
