hrm yea interesting. so the problem is that currently --ios_multi_cpus
takes precedence over the --platforms
setting. This happens with the default value even though you're not passing it explicitly. It's because of our current transition for this. We are following in google's footsteps here and it looks like they're still using the same behavior there too. I'm not sure what implications of changing that would be.
this is actually the same as #1650
from rules_apple.
In your example your first command works because of your platform_mappings
file. If you want the second command to work you'd have to add that entry to the platform_mappings
file as well
from rules_apple.
Thanks! According to the discussion in #1658 , I thought we no longer need platform_mappings
on bazel 7.x+. Or am I missing something?
