Build failed about flutter-permission-handler

I switched to v 3.0.0

In pubspec.yaml:

permission_handler: '^3.0.0'

In my code:

import 'package:permission_handler/permission_handler.dart';

...

PermissionStatus permission = await PermissionHandler().checkPermissionStatus(PermissionGroup.contacts);
if (permission == PermissionStatus.granted) {
print('Permissions granted');
} else {
print('Permissions not granted');
}

I've upgraded to v3.0.0
Still getting the same error as mentioned above. Can you tell me where I'm going wrong?
