Hello!

I'm currently investigating Zebra for "visually rich" mobile applications.

I've already tweaked Zebra a bit and implemented some more controls and layout managers. "Animations" are on my schedule for the end of this week.

I'd like to check Zebra on my IOS and Android devices first, then I'll publish my stuff on my web page.

Kind regards,

This looks awesome!

I would like to know whether or how the API might support remotely driven animations via WebSocket data feeds?

Thanks!

Hello!

I'm currently preparing new web pages - but the Zebra stuff is in German only right now (and has to be translated till end of the week) and my feedback pages have not yet implemented (I plan to use my own implementation of a web server based on node.js - it gives me more flexibility when it comes to dynamic resources)

Concerning WebSockets: "just" receive updates of your data over the WebSocket and update your GUI accordingly in your callback - but either don't forget to repaint or paint yourself (it's just like in Java - that's what I love Zebra for!)

Kind regards,

OK, sounds good then - I can work on rolling my own WebSocket wrapper. If I get something good, maybe I will share it.

Thanks!

Hello!

I'm running out of time today - therefore I won't be able to handle animation right now.

I have, however, prepared a small JSFiddle at

http://jsfiddle.net/rozek/BJ6aw/3/

which moves a "ball" around the canvas. You are free to experiment with it.

Have fun!

I've started to relaunch my web pages at http://www.rozek.mobi

I'm still at the very beginning as I currently have problems with my CMS. As a consequence, only a few pages have been written so far - and they are still in german, waiting for being translated into english.

In the next few days, I'll add more stuff and - hopefully start translating. Until then, you may nevertheless have fun with my sources and fiddles dealing with Zebra...

Kind regards,

Just a hint:

if you visit http://www.rozek.mobi and can't click on "Zebra": just switch to the german version and click on Zebra there - it's because those pages are still in german, and the former link would have to direct you to the english ones...

Have fun!
