The THREADED code is not used. If you would like to patch a fix for this Markus please do so. Many thanks for your feedback with these issues. Please don't hesitate to suggest more.

No. As you may see through the code, the plan is to take high cpu intensive non-interdependent loops and farm components of these loops on multiple processors using GCD from Apple and probably a similar threading model on other platforms. I should get more bang with this approach per Apple's original analysis circa 2003 (Step 2):
