It seems that in linux it's necessary to specify the libtdjson.so library path at the time of TDLib instantiation:

    tdlib = new TDLib('/usr/local/lib/libtdjson.so');
    client = new Client(tdlib, {
        apiId: process.env.TELEGRAM_API_ID,
        apiHash: process.env.TELEGRAM_API_HASH
    });

    await client.connectAndLogin();

The TDLib constructor accepts a library filename, by default it equals to libtdjson. The filename is directly passed to dlopen (ffi-napi/lib/dynamic_library.js#L37-L75), except for appending the extension (ffi-napi/lib/library.js#L35-L45).
