CL-Wallet

Description

A python based command line Wallet for IOTA.

Special features:

• Addresses don't need to be attached to the tangle
• Immune to snapshots as all necessary data is saved in a local file
• Can send multiple transfers in one bundle

Please note that this is is still in Alpha stages and as such not all functionality is integrated yet.

Usage:

You need:

• Python 2.7 or Python 3
• and the PyOTA library pip install pyota

On windows you can just use the "Start CL Wallet.bat". On any other OS you need to open "Wallet.py" via command line. Important: If you start via command line, make sure to use a console that has a width of 140 columns.

"A error occurred :-(" when trying to send transfer

Hi
Im currently testing your great CL Python wallet and everything works fine until i try to send funds.
After entering "confirm" an error message is returned "A error occurred :-("
Any idea what might be wrong? I really would like this to work.

Note! Im using my own full node and have no problems when using the standard IOTA Wallet.

Transaction: reuse address

Hi again :)
I have been playing with the wallet and I have detected a possible problem. I have done a transaction from an address with 2i, but I sent only 1i. I have observed that the remaining iota was send back to the original address. Is not this a problem? As far as I know ones you have send iotas from and address you should not use it again.
I'm wrong?

Bugs when changing settings

After changing the host, entering other commands doesn't work anymore

After changing settings in the settings menu a restart is required

When changing to a new host the host is saved in the account file but the wallet still uses the old one until it is restarted.
Edit: Same applies to the other settings as well

Hello, I would like to modify your wallet to generate transfers from a security level 3 address but first I have tried to send a iota from a normal level 2 address without modifing the code and I get a message at the end of the proces:
