Currently, library graph.cm(x)a does not contain anything related to the GUI.
And if you don't have lablgtk2 with gnomecanvas on your machine, then GUI-stuff is not even compiled.
But perhaps I misunderstood you comment...

Well,
I tried to install it on Arch via AUR.
lablgtk2 was in the dependencies.
I tried to make the package; after removing lablgtk2 from the
dependencies the compilation did not worked,
so it did not look like a problem of the packaging script.
I can try compiling again by hand to check this dependency issue.

Indeed installing OcamlGraph 1.8.4 without lablgnomecanvas (part of lablgtk2) is not possible. It was a regression introduced in this particular version and it is fixed under the Git repository (https://github.com/backtracking/ocamlgraph/blob/master/CHANGES).

Ah, ok.
So I don't need to check this again. It was a regression introduced in this particular version and it is fixed

Fine. :-)
A new version number would make it easier to make a new package for it...
...I could flag the ARCH package out of date and mention there, that
possibly wtwo packages might be vreated - one with and one without
the GUI stuff.

Fixed in OcamlGraph 1.8.5
