I think this PR #32 would fix this and the issue #31 describes the same problem (or at least a similar one)!

Could you try with v2.0.3 and see if it works?

it does work when the value of hidden
is a boolean but not as a function

Hello! I'm running into this exact issue and i use the heck out of tabs plugin. The callback won't fire, but passing a boolean does hide the field. Is there any fix for this in progress? Running Sanity v2.27.1 with sanity-plugin-tabs v2.0.3.
Workaround for now is to create another object where i want to use the conditional field, then reference that object within the object that is using Tabs to separate the fieldsets. Works just fine in this context. The downside of this is an additional layer of nesting in my data structure.

@Mcdonamj087 Dont bother, this should be deprecated. Sanity already has this feature, called Field Groups https://www.sanity.io/docs/field-groups
from sanity-plugin-tabs.
@Mcdonamj087 As @gtwebsite states, Sanity now includes this functionality as of 2.24.0. I will continue to do some maintenance on this plugin for people still using it, but everyone should migrate to the built-in feature. :-)
I have just released v2.1.0 of this plugin, not sure if it solves your issue but you can upgrade and see.

@azzlack Migration to Field Groups was easy. A big thank you for this plugin! It has served me well and has always worked flawlessly! ❤
