Thanks for your feedback. You're right, it doesn't make sense to remove white space (or to make any modifications, quite frankly) after creating the signature. I won't have time to look into this right away, but will try to do that (and make any necessary corrections) soon.
Also, I saw your related question about the Perl code not removing white space from the policy. I'm going to close that one and track that issue here as well, if you don't mind.
