I tried deploying a Gen 1 amplify app with the schema that was described not to work, enabled DataStore, generated models, and imported the models in my front end code but was not able to reproduce the issue.

can you share a bit more about where you are importing the models in your Vue app?

Or, would you be able to provide a small sample repo with a Vue app that reproduces the issue consistently?
The error message unfortunately doesn't provide enough info to infer what about the schema might be causing an issue.
