Apologies for the delayed reply - likely same root cause as #6; your local maven repo contains corrupt files including /home/sanghapal/.m2/repository/org/eclipse/persistence/org.eclipse.persistence.core/2.6.0/org.eclipse.persistence.core-2.6.0.jar - you should delete the corrupt files, and check that your jdk / java versions match.
