We would rather just use version numbers in our package.json files. Just our preference :)

The package.json file links to an older version of iconv that tries to compile with node-waf, which doesnt work on windows, this has since been updated and is easily fixed by updating the version number of iconv to "~1.2.4"... thanks for this library, oh and i second the request to update npm as I also use versions in package.json to keep projects coherent

+1. expat also now fails with node-waf issues. That too is out of date in the npm version.
