Cleaning up. Today I'm using yt-dlp
for all my cookie needs:
yt-dlp --cookies-from-browser firefox --cookies cookies.txt www.dummysite.com;
This leverage yt-dlp
, a great fork of youtube-dl
, which has a feature to extract cookies from most browsers.
Combining --cookies-from-browser [browser]
together with --cookies [file.txt]
is an undocumented feature. Instead of loading cookies from [file.txt]
they are fetched from the selected browser, and the same file handle used to save them instead.
Got this info from the great people over at the yt-dlp
Discord.
