@ezraroi Is the model going to be static? If yes, I would recommend leveraging the basic setup

<js-tree tree-data="json" tree-src="../jstree/data/tree-json.json"></js-tree>

where the .json file is the static data. And if you are fetching the data and populating into the model via a service, I would recommend using the AJAX option

<js-tree  tree-ajax="/tree"></js-tree>

Apart from the above options, do you still need to populate the model explicitly?

Thanks!

Never mind.
Added scope support too. Refer http://jstree-directive.herokuapp.com/#/basic example 3. You can run bower install jstree-directive to get the v 0.1.1 with the updates.

All you need to do is

<js-tree tree-data="scope" tree-model="treeModel"></js-tree>

where treeModel is the scope variable

$scope.treeModel = [{
  "id": "ajson1",
  "parent": "#",
  "text": "Simple root node"
}, {
  "id": "ajson2",
  "parent": "#",
  "text": "Root node 2"
}, {
  "id": "ajson3",
  "parent": "ajson2",
  "text": "Child 1"
}, {
  "id": "ajson4",
  "parent": "ajson2",
  "text": "Child 2"
}];

Thanks!

Hi,
Thanks for the quick response. I think it will be pretty easy to make it work with dynamic data also and not only static. i was thinking about something like this:

else if (a.treeData == 'scope') {
s.$watch(a.treeModel, function()
            {
                config = {
                    'core': {
                        'data': s[a.treeModel]
                    }
                };
                $(e).jstree('destroy');
                treeDir.init(s, e, a, config);
            }, true);
}

What do you think?

Sounds good. Thanks for the solution! I have added the same

s.$watch(a.treeModel, function() {
