Update moonraker kills webcam - Logitech C920 about moonraker

You need to attach moonraker.log for me to look into this. Additionally, please clarify what you mean by the "camera dies". Do you mean that its no longer available in Mainsail? Not enumerating on the bus? Is the stream accessible if you enter the stream url directly in the browser?

Moonraker does not in any way interact directly with the camera. It can store configuration for the camera, and the way the configuration is stored may have changed between the installed version and the updated version. In this case, you should be able to get the camera back by removing and adding it again in Mainsail.

Sorry, I wiped and reinstalled.  Camera stream went black once I update moonraker,  so I don't now. I tried adding and removing camera, did not help. Kpippe4 firmware not latest. Could that matter. I had a similar issue after updating moonraker through mainsail.
running make clean, make build, make install on crowsnest solved it for me.

Ok, i since observed that there are electrical issues with the btt octo and pi 4 combination in ldo trident. Not sure what is to blame, but i suspect not enough juice going to pi the way they power it from the btt. Even with a powered hub, for example, i have to unplug the camera for the pi to reboot properly. After boot, i can then plug in the camera. Doubt this was moonraker
