I believe that is due to your version of chef you are running. If in your vagrantfile you specify the chef omnibus version as :latest, it will not be compatible with how the cookbook is written currently. It does currently work with
config.omnibus.chef_version = '11.12.4'
from drupal-solr.

I'm runnning this and getting the error
config.omnibus.chef_version = '11.16.2'
I'll give the 11.12.4 a go

I agree. I don't think it would be hard to get it in the new format that the latest chef version expects. That should likely be our course of action.

Do you know what we would need to do to solve this? Using vampd/vampd as a defauly we aren't able to use this.
