I came across this when I hit a similar issue recently. For anyone else's benefit, there's a newer updated windows native driver for LO now, available from http://extensions.libreoffice.org/extension-center/mysql-native-connector-for-libreoffice-4.x

Make sure you are using version 1.0.2 (or later)
