Random failures mounting root on mmc card at boot about beagleboard

With git head (first part of rev is in the log files) I can reproduce the 
problem
"quicker". First boot failed, second succeeded. Attached are the boot log for 
both
cases.

Diffing the good and bad files shows this difference in the kernel boot 
messages:

Observation: x-loader will fail to detect the mmc card after failed boot when 
you press the reset button. 
Powercycling or holding the reset button seems to 'fix' it.

this also has been fixed with recent git kernels and uboot 1.3.3
