Why I could play only the audio from the video files? about fermata

Is routing needed also if Fermata is installed via AAAD?

History so far:

• Fermata installed with AAAD
• Fermata was visible on Android Auto but connection did not work
• Opened google play link. It offered update (not install)
• Fermata control icon disappeared from menu
• No connection still
• AA downgraded to 1.3
• Upgrade to 1.9 was forced on start
• Connection works now, video audio is played only
• Fermata and control apk installed (control icon still not visible) via starting them directly
• as phone is not rooted It is not clear yet if I can continue without rooting

I have removed the app. Reinstalled it with Kinginstaller. I have started the app on phone befere starting AA.
Still the app is not visible in AA. I can see only the google play version there.

Is there any hint how to progress? I think I have followed all instructions.

Basically, there are 2 steps:

1. Install app with KingInstaller.
2. Enable the "Unknown Sources" option in AA settings.

If it does not work, then, probably, you need root or a different firmware.
Try the above steps on a different device.

None of them helped (without rooting). I don't have other device yet, but I can try that later. (The current one is Realme 8 Pro)

I have experienced an issue which may help to find the root cause of the problem:
When I have installed the new Fermata version it appeared on the AA application list (on the phone), but
when I connected the mobile to the car than the Fermata disappeared from the appliciation list. Only the google play version was visible.

Do you have any idea why this happened? If phone sees the application in Android Auto than the installation is correct and the sw is compatible, just something happens during car connection what blocks the sw.

Unfortunately, no. If you can reproduce this behavior, try to capture logcat when connecting the phone. Perhaps we will find some info in the log.
