That could be possible but not straightforward, you may need to hijack some gestures since UICollectionView doesn't let you do that.

I’m confused about which gestures would need to be hijacked? The stack layout already has swipe left and right and the cards slide out and disappear. The only problem. Is that they can be swiped back in.

The collectionview gestures are tight to changing content offset.
But in a tinder-like view, we want to move the top card based on the gesture and don't change the content offset until you drop the card to right or left.
