No need for such events in v5 since you can attach events to be triggered on a change of setting or private setting.

Instead of monitoring scrollbar for events, I'd just set up events for axis' private properties selectionMin and selectionMax:

Is there a way of getting the "end" value of the animation (when it's animated)?

Right now the "event" will fire multiple times until the animation settles. As I'm using the event to trigger a fetch from a database it would be helpful to do it as the animation starts instead of when it ends.

Well, in that case probably the best approach is to debounce the execution of your data load a few milliseconds so that it triggers only when animation has settled.

Thanks for getting back. I am doing that but it will delay the fetch for the duration of the animation which makes my UI feel sluggish. I'll close this issue since the original question is answered.
