Handshake error for 5996.client: Cannot find audio device which name contains "pipewire" about alvr

I had this happen yesterday, ALVR had switched my audio device from Default to "pipewire". Switching back to default audio device fixed it for me.

Got same issue. This doesn't help, I'm using pipewire and ALVR was working fine 2 days ago. Updated alvr to newest version, resetted settings, and got "on commect/on disconnect" script as earlier, and still can't get it to work

Edit: May be SteamVR problem, I used beta version 1.27.5 but today it started giving me problems so i switched to another one that gave pipewire errors. Using 1.27.5 may fix this

I'm having the same problem, where exactly are you able to switch audio devices?

Updating steamVR will cause the same issue, and following this link will fix the issue.
