How are we supposed to pass default=>true to rbenv::compile? about puppet-rbenv

Kinda related: why are you accessing and changing rbenv's files directly (such as .rbenv/version) rather than using rbenv's command such as rbenv global?

I would think that using rbenv's commands would be more future-proof if internals of rbenv change.

This choice has to do with puppet's philosophy. Puppet does not encourage the usage of exec, it prefers to handle resources like files than virtual stuff. So, I believe it's better using this way even if we risk "future-proofness".

Good to know. I actually don't believe that rbenv will change any of its internal structure—it doesn't need to, it's so perfectly designed right from the start. I was just asking to know the general philosophy.
