Hey, thanks for your report!

Unfortunately, it is a bug with Rakudo REPL not being able to catch up with the slang "application", not the Slang::Kazu module issue. The same code works fine when run from a file:

➜  ~ cat foo.raku
use Slang::Kazu;
say "3542" ~~ 三千五百四十二; # True
say '一' ~~ /<single-kazu>/; # Will match any digit from 1 to 9
➜  ~ raku foo.raku
True
