Frontend Developer

My name is Ali Nix. I'm a Front End Software Engineer and graduate from The Turing School of Software & Design. Throughout my time at Turing I was able to develop many applications with JavaScript (ES6), HTML, CSS, Mocha/Chai, React.js, React Router, Cypress.io.
Data visualization is something that interests me within software development.
I have a passion for helping others via software, and strive to work in either med tech or green tech.
Before learning how to code, I graduated with a Master of Public Health degree with a concentration in biostatistics.

  • Things I enjoy include climbing 🧗, skiing ⛷️, traveling 🌎, concerts 🎶, drawing 🎨, and my dog 🐕
  • 💬 Ask me about: React.js, JavaScript (ES6), HTML5/JSX, CSS3, Cypress.io
  • 🌱 Currently learning: backend technologies plus TypeScript, Stripe, and PostgreSQL for database
  • 💡 Curious to learn: relational and non-relational databases in more depth, more SQL, authentication
