Sorry I could not reproduce this problem.

Just a guess: file/folder permissions and/or group:user

Example:
System: Debian/ubuntu
Webserver: apache
PHP: as module
File permissions could be 0755 and
usergroup:user chould be something like www-data:www-data

If PHP-FPM is in use usergroup:user could be something like clientXXX:webXXX

Which PHP Version is used?

php 5.6.30, debian stable, apache. no fpm.

NC has www-data recursive permission. Sensorlogger was freshly installed from the store, if there is a permission problem it's in the git repo wrong too

Strange!
Testet with PHP Versions: 7.0.22 and 5.6.23 on ubuntu/apache with no problems so far.
Still investigating...

May be a conflict with another app. Which apps are you using?

Did a full wipe on sensorlogger dir and a fresh install, seems to show something now, hmpf. Thanks for testing!
