One quick question... should I remove .project and .classpath too? I know these files are eclipse-specific and generally shouldn't be included... but will removing them somehow mess up the build path?

@alexjlockwood: Haha glad you like it. It's really gratifying to know some other Android developers loves it ;). As you can have noticed, I read your blog too!

Regarding the Eclipse file, I guess there is no convention on that. Normally you should remove it because you should have no file related to the IDE/platform you are using when developing. However, I personally like to keep it because it lets developers easily import the project in their own Eclipse installation.
