Thanks for the report! Could you describe how you installed MSYS2 as well as how you installed the gcc compiler? On 32-bit windows there are two variants of compilers, and it looks like the wrong one is being used by accident unfortunately for Rust :(

I installed
- MSYS2 with MSYS2 installer
- Rust V1.11.0 Windows (GNU ABI) with no linker and platform libraries

Ah a bit of a belated response, but unfortunately the default gcc on msys2 comes with the wrong threading model which will have these problems. The instructions for Rust itself though should suffice in downloading an appropriate compiler.
