It's irrelevent because jmp[rip+0x0] followed by address is the same size as
push lower

And as for CET, I am not even sure if there is any version of Windows where CET is enabled by default in the kernel. There is an article about it https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/microsoft/windows-11-22h2-adds-kernel-exploit-protection-to-security-baseline/, but I could not find a way to enable it even in Win 11 22H2 and with a 13th generation processor

I got the option to enable kernel CET on my Windows system, but it's still not possible to run my own hypervisor because CET is part of vbs, which doesn't allow nested virtualization, so I don't think it's so important that airhv supports kernel hooking with enabled CET.
