Moreover - mysql allows to add comments to columns. It would be awsome to get those comments into the generated code!

There would first have to be support in SQLAlchemy for reflecting those comments to the metadata.

Ok, thanks for the info. And what about reading comments from external source, like text file formated as:
tableX.column1=some comment text
tableX.column2=some comment text
Such file could be generated by other tool or just be hand-made.
