Yes. ACF version 4 does not pass through a parameter value to this action. This is why your function should set a default value of 4:

function include_field($version = 4)
This does not work, because the $version parameter is an empty string.
include_once tries to get file fields/class-NAME-acf-field-NAME-v.php
