I can reproduce this. Perl 5.20.3 on Fedora 22. This is a pretty serious problem.

Is this still a problem? I just tried to reproduce on 5.24.1 and it doesn't seem to leak at all. Watching with htop, the resident size stayed constant for the entire run of the program (I probably let it run for 10 minutes or so)

Confirmed that I cannot reproduce the memory leak using the last version of Template 2.27 with perl 5.16 and 5.26.
Closing this ticket, as bisecting it has a low value there, this was probably fixed during the dev cycle.
