[Q] suspicious chinese wiimote clone about cwiid

On my more modern Raspbian setup I had to run this before cwiid would even play:
bluetoothctl
scan on
pair bdaddr_of_wiimote
exit

Then it would pair for me. There were mentions of BTLE updates causing stack issues with devices and the fact that knock off Chinese devices were not compatible as of yet.
