My deep apologies for this... but I believe my fix caused a pretty major issue with the library (Successful API calls to the library have the supplied callback function executed twice, once for the success and once when the connection times out due to inactivity).

I've dug in deeper and realized that the timeout should only raise an issue when the timeout occurs before a connection is established. I'm in the process of doing the following:

1. Fixing the code
2. Writing additional tests to check for this type of bug in the future

In the meantime, you may want to revert my change/disable version 0.0.3, since this issue is fairly severe.
