Don't bother asking questions and starting issues, the author of the jqvmap seem to have abandon this project. Sad because the only major bug was that it didn't work correctly in IE6>IE8

you might have some chance with https://github.com/sonicparke he seems to know how jqvmap works since the author has abandoned this project.

That would be my 1st choice ; the prob. is that it's not playing nice with saiku ui @ the moment and wanted to understand if I had an option instead of having to play with different jQuery versions and that comes down the line :)
